The new Holland Casino in Utrecht has the shape of a diamond and is beautifully reflected in the adjacent canal. The design opens up over the entire entrance and tapers to a point. The public is thus invited to enter. The facade panels have the shape of scales. A total of 6,000 panels in 3 different sizes are anodized in the color AluGold01. The perforated panels are intended to cool the parking garage and to allow sunlight to pass through the offices. In the evening the building is lit by means of 9000 LED lights that are integrated in the facade panels. The building has received the BREEAM Excellent certificate.
