Update 1: Construction new premises making good progress

Alumet is expanding and has been building new premises in Etten-Leur, the Netherlands, since May 2019. ‘It is nice to see the factory grow this fast. The construction is making good progress,’ says Alumet director Remco Baartmans.

The end of May saw the start of the construction of the new factory. Two months later, the entire steel construction is finished, and almost all of the façade panels have been fitted. The production facility covers a total surface area of 10,000 square metres; the office is 850 square metres.

Construction schedule

Alumet expects that the exterior of the factory and the office will be completed by early November. The last façade panels will be installed next week. In September, Alumet will start production of the Panelox panels for the office. Once the exterior is completely closed, the new line will be built. The new premises are expected to be completed in April 2020.

New premises

Alumet is building new premises because demand for anodisation is increasing. The expansion will make it possible for Alumet to introduce new colours and start with ‘bright anodising’. Additionally, the automated line has the benefits of better quality and of reducing delivery times from ten working days to five.
